Ashley Dawn Sallie
January 15, 1989 – January 2, 2021

Many of you may know of Ashley from her work in Chasing Hope and One the Documentary. She shared her story of addiction, pain, abuse and the world of human trafficking all while trying to battle her issues with mental illness. She is the mother of 11-year-old Keegan, who was the reason she smiled and continued to press on toward peace and healing.
Ashley chose to share her story with us during the filming of Chasing Hope and One in hopes to educate and empower everyone on how to address addiction by offering an intimate look into her life’s journey. The loss of Ashley is devastating due to the community but an unimaginable pain to her mother as this is her second of two daughters to have lost their battle to addiction.
To honor her work, we are intentionally sharing her struggle so that the stigma of mental illness and addiction may be diminished and the beauty and light of the one’s that carry this is revealed.
