During a recent get together with the members of our BAC (Building a Community), we asked each participant to give intentional thought into what they are carrying in their lives that no longer serves them.  Have they been holding onto anger?  Is there someone they refuse to forgive?  Is there an old pattern or habit that is unhealthy and needs to be addressed?

During our fire ceremony, we brought items that represented something in our lives we choose to release and we did this in the presence of our community to share our journey and hold accountability to one another for our decisions.  Naming that which no longer serves us and throwing it into the fire provides the heart with an experience that carries on into future behaviors.

Are you noticing there is something that you need to let go and heal from?  Is there a person you need to forgive or a habit that has proven to be destructive?  The impact of a fire ceremony in the presence of a safe community is life changing.  Contact Dawn Duhaime at dawnduhaimesgef@gmail.com or 419-250-0810 if you’re interested in finding out more about this type of event.
